Plan your trips by chatting with Claude

Connect Claude to Sancharees and ask about your trips in plain words: what's on day 3, add a day in Kyoto, move the museum to Friday. No token or install needed on Claude.ai, Desktop or mobile.

Sometimes the fastest way to change a plan is to say it out loud. "Move the museum to Friday." "What's on day 3?" "Add a morning at Fushimi Inari." With the Sancharees connector, Claude can read your trips and make those edits for you, in the same itinerary you see in the app.

Under the hood this uses the Sancharees MCP server at https://sancharees.com/mcp. MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard Claude uses to talk to other apps. You do not need to know anything about it to get started: on Claude.ai, Claude Desktop and the Claude mobile app it is a URL and a sign-in.

Connect Claude.ai, Claude Desktop or Claude mobile

These three share one account setting, so you only need to do this once.

In Claude, open Settings → Connectors.
Choose Add custom connector.
Name it Sancharees and enter the URL https://sancharees.com/mcp.
Leave the OAuth client ID and OAuth client secret fields empty. Claude registers itself with Sancharees automatically.
Click Connect. Claude opens a Sancharees page in your browser.
Sign in to Sancharees if you are not signed in already. The page asks whether to allow Claude to read and edit your Sancharees trips, and shows the email you are signed in with. If it is the wrong account, choose Use another account.
Click Allow. You are sent back to Claude, and the connector shows as connected.

That's it. There is no token to copy and nothing to install. Claude keeps its own access fresh in the background.

What you can ask

Claude works with your trips through a set of tools that match what the app can do. It can list your trips, read any trip day by day, search for places, add, move, rename and delete stops, write day notes and checklists, read and add bookings, change a trip's title, description or dates, and draft a day plan with the same AI day planner you'll find in the app. A few prompts to try:

"What's on day 3 of my Japan trip?" Claude reads the day: where you slept, bookings with local times, stops in order with their notes, and any day notes.
"Add a day in Kyoto with Fushimi Inari and Nishiki Market." Claude looks the places up and adds them to the right day as stops.
"Move the museum to Friday." It finds the stop and moves it to that date, keeping it inside the trip.
"Put Nishiki Market before lunch and add a note that it closes early on Wednesdays."
"Which nights don't have a hotel yet?"
"Add a packing checklist to day 1: passport, adapter, rail pass."
"Draft a relaxed plan for my free day in Osaka." Claude shows you the draft first, then adds it when you say so.

Claude follows the same rules as the app. Stops and notes stay within your trip's days, flight arrivals can land up to two days after the trip ends, and hotel check-in and check-out get the same two days of slack. Anything destructive, like deleting a stop, replacing a whole day with a new plan, or shortening a trip in a way that would drop stops, needs an explicit confirmation, so Claude will check with you first.

Claude edits your real itinerary, not a copy. Changes show up in Sancharees right away, and anyone you share the trip with sees them too.

See or remove the connection

You can check what's connected at any time:

In Sancharees, open Settings and go to the Account tab.
Find the Connect Claude / Cursor card.
Under Connected apps you'll see each connection with when it was connected and last used.
Click Disconnect to cut its access straight away.

Want it back later? Just connect again from Claude.

Cursor and Claude Code: use an assistant token

Some tools are set up by hand rather than through a sign-in page. For Cursor, Claude Code, or any client you configure yourself, use an assistant token:

Open Settings → Account → Connect Claude / Cursor in Sancharees.
Under Assistant tokens, give the token a name you'll recognise later (for example "Cursor on my laptop") and click Create token.
The token appears once, together with ready-to-paste setup for Claude Code, Cursor and Claude Desktop, with your token already filled in. Copy the one for your app.
For Claude Code, run the claude mcp add command shown. For Cursor, paste the snippet into ~/.cursor/mcp.json (or .cursor/mcp.json in a project).
Click Done, hide token when you're finished.

A token lasts a year and acts as you, so keep it private. The same card lists your tokens with when each was last used, and Revoke stops one immediately.

A few tips

Name the trip in your prompt if you have several ("my Japan trip", "the Lisbon weekend").
Booking times are local, as printed on your ticket. Say "the 7:40 flight" and Claude uses the airport's own clock.
Ask Claude to read the day back after a batch of edits. It's a quick way to check the order.
Offline? Sancharees is view-only offline, and Claude needs a connection too.
