Dubai Trip Cost from India for 5 Days

Five days in Dubai costs about ₹50,000–85,000 per person with the visa, a desert safari and the Burj Khalifa. Where to stay and how to save.

A 5-day Dubai trip from India costs about ₹50,000–85,000 per person for a mid-range trip with a 4-star hotel shared between two, the visa, a desert safari and the Burj Khalifa. Budget travellers can do it for ₹35,000–45,000. Luxury hotels on the Palm and theme-park days take it past ₹1.5 lakh. Dubai's flights from India are short and frequent, so hotels and attraction tickets make up most of the cost.

Cost per person for 5 days (approximate)

Item Budget Mid-range Comfort
Return flights ₹14,000–20,000 ₹18,000–28,000 ₹30,000–50,000
UAE tourist visa (30 days) ₹6,000–9,000 ₹6,000–9,000 ₹6,000–9,000
Stays, 4 nights, twin-share ₹6,000–10,000 ₹14,000–25,000 ₹40,000–90,000
Desert safari, Burj Khalifa, one more attraction ₹5,000–7,000 ₹8,000–14,000 ₹15,000–30,000
Metro, taxis, airport transfer ₹2,000–3,000 ₹3,000–5,000 ₹6,000–10,000
Food ₹3,000–5,000 ₹5,000–9,000 ₹12,000–20,000
Total ₹35,000–45,000 ₹50,000–85,000 ₹1.1–2 lakh

These are estimates. Prices peak from December to February and during the Dubai Shopping Festival and Indian school holidays. June to August is very hot but hotels drop to about half.

The visa

Most Indians need a tourist visa arranged before travel, through an airline (Emirates, flydubai, Air India Express and others offer it with a booking), a hotel or a licensed agent. Indians holding a valid US visa or green card, or a residence permit from the UK or the EU, may qualify for a visa on arrival. The rules are set by UAE immigration (ICP and GDRFA Dubai); check their official pages for the current list and fees.

Saving money

Stay in Bur Dubai, Deira or Al Barsha rather than Downtown or the Marina. The Metro connects all of them, and Indian restaurants in Karama and Bur Dubai are excellent value.

Book Burj Khalifa tickets online for a non-sunset slot. Sunset slots cost a lot more for the same view.

Use a Nol card on the Metro and buses. Taxis from the airport are fine for groups of three or four.

Combo passes for attractions only pay off if you'll actually visit three or more of the included places. Many people buy them and use two.

A sample 5-day plan

  1. Day 1, arrive, Dubai Creek and an abra ride, Deira gold and spice souks.
  2. Day 2, Burj Khalifa, Dubai Mall and the fountain show in the evening.
  3. Day 3, a slow morning, desert safari in the afternoon.
  4. Day 4, Abu Dhabi day trip for the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, or a theme park.
  5. Day 5, Dubai Marina walk, fly home.

FAQ

Is ₹50,000 enough for Dubai?

For 4 or 5 days with a budget hotel and one or two paid attractions, yes. Add more if you want Burj Khalifa at sunset, a theme park or a hotel in Downtown.

Which month is cheapest?

July and August, by a wide margin. It's too hot to be outside in the afternoon, so plan malls and indoor attractions then.

Can I pay in rupees?

Some shops in the souks and Karama take rupees, but the rate is poor. Use dirhams or a forex card.
